ECU Recall Experience

Had the '99 9-5 2.3t Wagon in for service and had the ECM (T7 brain) replaced under recall. The dealer said they have not had any experiences of the total failure that has been reported. Interesting in that there were two other service campaigns done.
First, the CD changer cable in the back was relocated. Apparently it can get wet and needed to be relocated. Did anyone else know about this?
The other was to clean the throttle body. Why it needed cleaning I could not say. Net result is the engine seems smoother and the auto shifting is much improved. I would attribute this to the throttle body cleaning, also another SAAB service campaign.
Tho original reason the car was in was to replace the wind deflector arm on the sun roof. I was told there was a part change due to this problem. A plastic clip that holds the back part of the arm into the metal frame comes loose. The dealer has had may of these come loose to the point when moving the sunroof into the closed position, it can pull away and bend the arm.
Anyone with a clicking noise as the sunroof is moving forward (closing)should have this taken care of. I let mine go 6 months and it was almost at the total failure point.
