No, the smoke I was talking about is when you start the car after it's been sitting for more than an hour or so. With a tired turbo you'll get a puff of blue smoke for a couple seconds. With a really tired turbo you'll get unbelievably gigantic clouds of blue smoke after hard acceleration (ask me how I know, haha, I wish I had taken a video of my car with the turbo failing).
DURING very hard acceleration you might see a little black smoke from a little extra fuel being burnt, but you probably shouldn't see much. It could be slightly TB and/or PCV related though.
