Where to tap into the engine oiling system?

I'm in the process of ordering the parts to build an engine pre-oiler (and post-oiler). The idea is the eliminate dry starts and also lube the turbo after shutdown. I was going to use an accumulator system but decided to go the electric pump route. I've been told there's an adapter to replace the oil drain plug so the electric pump can pull in oil. I don't know if that's the best idea or should I drill a hole in the side of the oil pan and tap it for the fittings? The output of the electric oil pump is where I'm not sure to connect it to on the engine? Mine's the V6 so don't know if anyone has ideas on where I can tap in? I would think near the engine's oil filter housing? I plan on using a separate oil filter for the electric pump. I'm using the Enginegear pump for this project. Hopefully it will do the job. Like way too many projects and I took on this one after loosing a second turbocharger in 22K miles.
