quote:" I'll think twice about buying another SAAB. "
I remember when I drove my first Saab. A nice and both ugly model 99GL (1978) that I bought very used, but that drove like a charm. It's weird interior look. I soon realised how comfortable I was at driving it. I kept it many years. It was quite a few cars before I went back at buying Saabs. Quite a few of them. My last one of the "Classic" ones was a 900 SPG.
Now that 9-5 (2003 wagon) is loaded with nice features, and has a desing that I find both classy and sobre. Design matching function. My only regret might be the auto tranny that's quite nice in fact, but removes some of the feeling and fun, but all in all, I'd buy it again, any time, except the "newlook" ones, that look like pale imitations of what's going on in the industry. Like some Infinity parts dropped in the interior, here and there, and that exterior look, snobish and ugly as can be. Rumors say that GM is going to abandon Saab. Newer Saabs look to me like "orphean cars" with no family to link to..
I confort myself telling me that when I replace this one, there will be still some older models, recent enough, low mileage, and at a fairly low discount price. My last one..
