Front unit failed last winter Posted by FrancoisM [Email] (#1149) [Profile/Gallery] (more from FrancoisM) on Thu, 11 Sep 2008 07:03:18 In Reply to: level sensor (headlights) detail of construction, SylvainQc, Wed, 10 Sep 2008 18:25:33 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Hi Sylvain,
I had the front level sensor (also called "gravity senosor") failing last winter. Symptoms are a warning light in the dash and xenon lights aimed at their lowest. It failed on a snowy day, where I had to go over the snow accumulation left by the snow clearer (or truck, or plow, excuse me, my fist language is french...).
I agree with n8, this unit is used to measure angle of the car on the road (pitch), allowing optimum levelling of the xenons in function with the car's load.
By the way, who is your indy? Amico? Meck's? other? It is always good to have options.
Bye,
Francois
