.. comparing the BMW 530ix (or maybe it was a 525ix) when I bought my 2006 9-5 Sportcombi. The BMW is a swell car, but for about $60,000, I just couldn't figure out -besides awd, which I didn't want, WHAT I was getting for my extra $20k. The Saab thrills and makes sense.

If the 9-5 goes into direct competition with the BMW etc, it's just dumb. Value is an imbedded virtue of the Saab range. I think this is mumbo jumbo.
