The head bolts on a 2002 should not need to be retorqued, the dealer should know that. They are as tight as they can be from factory. It was from about 97 and up to a certain VIN in 2001 that the NG900, 9-3 and 9-5 had issues with the cylinder head bolts and the torque.
If the headgasket was bad enough to give you rough start syndrome from coolant in one combustion chamber, it would be more tell tale signs like exhaust gases in the cooling system and excessive pressure in the cooling system.
Small leaks from the back of water pump housing o-rings can easily be missed since the coolant dries up quickly on the engine block.
