Was it smoking or acting up prior to your overfilling the crankcase?
Ans: no it wasn't
The diagnosis for the two master technician at Saturn, SAAB, Isuzu (the local dealership)
Grim diagnosis
Immediate problem
1. Turbo failure - charger seals inbetween exhaust and intake side of turbo charger. I was told that rebuilt turbo charger only last 3 to 6 months if one is lucky?? Is this true? Even at that, I don't know where I could get a turbo charge rebuilt.
Mid term problem
2. Cylinder head gasket - (problem waiting to happen in anywhere from 6 months to 3 years) - i.e. external engine oil leak. The master technican said this is about 10 hours of work to change because the cyclinder head gasket is inbetween the engine block and the engine head.
My main question:
Does anyone on this site know where I can find a good used turbo?? ... any leads on websites, telephone numbers, or companies the are reputable & can supply SAAB 95 Turbo's (new or in good used) would be greatly greatly appreciated. Right now my car is dead at the dealership until I can find the Turbo at reasonable cost. I have been quoted 1296 plus tax at the dealership.
Thank you,
John
