I did that drive 2 years ago in a 2003 AERO wagon, and 13 years ago in a 91 Integra, both time going through the states. My brother has done the trip as well, going through Canada and USA, and will never do the Canada route again unless sightseeing. Better roads and cheaper gas in the states.
Trip took three (long)days, and I averaged around 25 MPG, but I was towing a 14' boat on a trailer with fenders that stuck out from the side of the car- my aerodynamics were horrible. At this time of year, with shorter daylight, I would aim for 5 days.
By the way, I saved about 8000.00 over what the only lower mainland dealer wanted on a less equipped car by looking in Toronto. Good luck.
