I'm going to try Viton seals for awhile and see if they make a difference.
I'm getting real tired of having to redo pumps after a year or two just because the o-ring at engine block has gone flat and starting to seep.
The original o-ring is 36x42x3mm but the 1"3/8x1"5/8x1/8 is a close match with just a little bit more "meat" on it. The groove has enough space to allow the thicker o-ring.
You must use some lubricant and I use 3M silicone paste.
