How old is your battery? Perhaps it is on the way out.
The same thing happened to my wife about a month ago in our 2002 Linear. She was out on errands and the car was started and stopped a number of times. After the final stop, the car would not start and she had to have it jumped. The car started fine over the next few weeks, with no real symptoms of a bad battery. However, after errands last weekend it happened again.
The battery was a 3-year old AutoZone unit (24-month free replacement, 7 year overall warranty) so I took it in to get the pro-rated credit for a replacement. The clerk at AutoZone pulled up the battery records for our car and I was somewhat amazed to see that this battery and the two previous AutoZone batteries had each lasted almost EXACTLY 3 years to within a week of each other. Basically, we replaced the battery every three years during the same week in September. (The OEM battery lasted about 3.5 years, prior to the AutoZone units.)
Save those battery receipts! The replacement only cost me $36 (vs $115 new) as I received a decent prorated credit for the old.
