Our 2009 9-5 Griffin Edition wagon has lots of good stuff as standard equipment, including front and rear heated seats, memory driver's seat, xenon lights, roof rails, power folding mirrors, and XM radio. It also has fog lights (front and rear) and headlight washers. 260 horsepower, too. I don't see it as "decontented" at all. The only options I can recall, which we don't have, are ventilated seats and nav.
I like the GM radio in the 09 better than the radios that were in our 03 and 05 9-5's. The 09 radio has an iPod input, too.
Granted, there are a few things I would like to have on the car, including a heated steering wheel and lighted controls on the steering wheel (neither of which Saab has ever offered, as far as I know), and weather band radio (which is one feature of the older 9-5's that I do miss).
