I think I paid about $20 more per tire than for Contis where I got mine. Michelin can be really overpriced at some places. I was lucky to find a place that significantly discounted them - paid $800 for a set of 4 (225/45R17). Fwiw, tire prices here are higher than in the USA. $548 is an amazing price, and I would have probably gone with DW for that also. It sounds like a good tire. The PSS was actually significantly cheaper (neglecting wear, which is a significant factor in cost) than any of the all season michelins, and also the PSS is about the only michelin that has a high enough load rating in that size for the 9-5... iirc, DW is fine also... I wish I could try Nokian summers on the 9-5 but they were really hard to get...
