So as soon as I received my aluminum arm from thesaabsite, I spent a few hours trying to fit that G$*%&$! piece onto the driver's side motor and could not get it to fit. I could see the two tabs, and could get it approximately lined up, but I could not get it to fit all the way onto the shaft. After searching the boards and seeing that pretty much everyone had just reamed out the hole for the shaft, I got out my hand drill and stuck the arm in a vice and went to town.
Well, actually, I just tried to give it a bit of a taper on the inboard side, but I didn't really have the right tools and equipment to do it properly. It looked a little messy, and I barely took any material off, but it really really did the trick!!
The next day, I was able to pop that sucker into place in a minute flat. Getting the top screw of the driver-side motor reinstalled, however, took another hour at least...
