All this talk lately about sludging has me all paranoid of how much sludge is in my oil pan/blocking my pick up screen. Not to mention all the horror pictures available on Saabnet, I`m the 2ed owner of the car/2.3 at 60,000 miles, now she has 100,000 and come to find the car doesn't have a heat shield between cat. and oil pan I hear there is suppose to be one.

So is there a trick in dropping the oil pan as in removing the bolts and twisting it a certain way to get it out or dose the sub-frame need to be removed?
