Divorce and marriage of Saab radios Posted by saabsince 93b [Email] (#972) [Profile/Gallery] (more from saabsince 93b) on Tue, 29 Jan 2013 18:05:40 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I was just reading a new post on how to tap and iPod or similar device to a Saab 95 radio.
I was thinking of getting a radio on eBay to modify just in case I messed up the modification. Then I remembered all the fuss about divorcing and marrying the radio to work.
this is what I understand from looking at old posts here:
1. best to start with a radio that has been properly "divorced"
2. You can marry the divorced radio to your 95 with a T2
3. You can plug a non-divorced radio into your 95 and use the old VIN to divorce the radio, and then use you VIN to marry the radio.
Is that right?
Any other options?
What can go bad?
If I can't get a divorced radio [most junkyards can't divorce it] is the above divorcing procedure reliable?
Thanks for any input.
