Yep...its like 90% probable that it's the radiator.. the plastic cracks/separates there. I let mine go until it created a puddle in the garage.
I was able to do it myself...it's do-able by mortals albeit a long job..there is just about enough room to work.. ie..remove battery, intake host by MAF,silver turbo bypass tube (one bolt and clamps to valve). Trans cooler lines un-attach from the passenger side of the radiator (not much comes out). Hard part was a little screw holding the trans cooler line on the bottom of the fan shroud.
Also, it was just me, I hard time with the upper radiator mounts (they are spring acvtivated).
Tools; radiator hose clamp tool (can't do it without this)
Stuff I brought; (all eeuro) Orange coolant, radiator, upper and lower radiator hose, little u hose for the water pump. (one can also buy the 2 hoses to the coolant tank). Water pump hose was actually ok. Again, there is just a bunch of stuff to get to it and the space is tight. I can see why the labor might be high for the job.
