I don't think JB Weld is gonna cut it on this, since it needs to take the full shear force of the gas strut. My indie says he'd need to drill out the old one since it sheared off almost flush with the bracket it's held to...and you need to avoid drilling through the roof. Too much for me, and I don't have garage space to work in. Strut is fine, BTW
