Watch that the 'liner' for the metal track/channel is in place. Look or feel around in the bottom of the door if necessary. It needs to be glued into the metal track.
I make sure the window is in the track, tested up and down manually so that it's not crossing over anywhere on the seal in the window's frame. Then the rollers are last.
I silicone spray any seals that will touch moving glass.
As Tom g said, don't give up.
