Need advice on replacing check valve and oil trap hose

I have a 2004 Aero, auto tranny, 4 - cylinder. Today the CEL came on and I discovered that one of the two check valves is cracked. I have attached a photo (I hope) of the valve. As you can see I have the grey check valves (Made in Germany). Even though it does not appear to be broken it is. The upper barb is severed from the valve body. This is the only photo I took that clearly shows the valve. I believe I need to purchase the valve along with the hoses. The lower hose goes downwards into a tee. It is clear in the photo where the upper hose goes. I understand that some of the early 2004's had not been updated to the newer, improved system.
1. Do I need the engine number in order to get the correct replacement part?
2. How are the new hoses secured to the male barbed fittings?
3. Can anyone tell me what part(s) I need and if it can be purchased from one of the sight sponsors?
Thanks in advance for any help.
