The advantages of a stick

On the older models I owned (900s, 9000s, NG 900s) you bought the stick because the automatics were subpar. Or IMO they were.
But in MY 2004 the 9-5 got the Aisin 5 speed automatics. I simply would not own a Saab Automatic until I tried one of these, and did my diligence. Ain't no crime to buy the automatic version on the newer ones. If I saw a pre 2004 9-5 I wouldn't be interested unless it was a stick but 2004 and newer (and these are the best built 9-5s IMO) I would prefer the Aisin over the stick.
The differences between the "Aero" and non Aero are the fancy sport seats, and the lowered suspension. I've got four of these 9-5s and my 2006 non Aero wagon is real fast but handling wise, it is a bit of a slug. But one could buy a non Aero and upgrade the front suspension - I plan to do this and expect it to make the wagon a bit more like its sister sedans.
