Just got a nice 01 9-5 aero sedan for the wife, went from SC to VA to get it, someone here may have seen it listed on Richmond craigslist. A/c compressor bracket is broke, was gonna get to it but one of the bolts that holds it is snapped off in the block, so a/c bypass belt it is and it works fine until i get to it. My thing is this, as I was checking the vacuum hoses I found one popped off with nowhere to go. So I begin to back track in order to find its home but to no avail. So I find a diagram online and I follow it finding out that I have 2 T valves instead of one like the diagram. So I pull the second T valve and route them the way it says online. Restart the car and CEL is on. Now this car was running great with no lights on at all before I moved the hoses. I pulled the positive cable waited 5 mins put it back on started the car and it was gone. Shut the car off for a while, about 3 to 5 mins and started it again and the light is back on. Now I'm having this same problem with my aero wagon too, I do the same thing with the battery and I get the same results. They both ran with no light before messing with the hoses. Could it be that the diagram I'm looking at is not right? Neither one of them is registered at the moment so no way to get them to a scan tool and don't really have the money at the moment to bring a scan tool to them. Is it possible someone could point me in the direction of the right vacuum routing please or do you guys think I'm doing something wrong?
