yes ok, you can believe that if you wish ! when I have time I will find some research or proof that may convince you otherwise! (I get it you don't believe me !) the fact that a spring is shorter means it's LOST some of its elasticity the "effective length"(i think it's called ) has changed and the spring is NOT the same! you are going to have a different spring rate! if for no other reason that you will have less spring travel before the spring goes into coil bind ! surely you will concede that? what do you do when valve springs are too short to be in spec? shim them? sorry that's kind of incredulous to say any spring that's not broken is good !
