well, it's clear that a lot of guys want to fix things on the cheap, On their own devised schedule save $ hence the long oil and other fluid changes they advocate and heaps of other deferred, dodgy, questionable maintenance ideas and practices ! and now I hear guys a sayin' re: Springs " if it ain't broken don't fix it! " no I don't know any data how often Saab or any other springs break but sure as the rays of sunshine tomorrow if they DO break you let it go too far eh ? the point is not really breaking but sagging. sacking ?( or crappy OEM springs SO go aftermarket!) I do recall that BMW M/C's( et all) had a spec that shorter than X ? we were to replace the springs and we DID! Funny thing ! made a hell of a difference! If you couldn't tell you were dead( or something ! ) I got paid to do things right but of course, everyone is free to do what they want if it's your own stuff!
