We just purchased an '03 9-5 Linear. The lighting is driving me batty. The previous owner put HID modules in it, despite the fact that it came with Halogen modules. I want the light switch to turn ALL the lights off when in the left position. It doesn't. The previous owner had a friend with a Tech 2 go at it. I wanted the "alternate 2" aka Euro lighting set-up. No DRLs.
Well - We were able to turn the DRLs off, but the parking lights stubbornly stay on regardless of the Tech2 setting. Interestingly when the switch is fully to the left and the key is removed, the lights stay out. When the switch is dead center with no key, the parking lights are on.
I might add that the previous owner installed an "unlocked" high performance TCU/ECU. This seems to limit what the Tech2 can do.
If the light switch is held halfway between full left and center, then all the lights stay off. All I want is for all the lights to be off when the switch is in the left-most position.
Any suggestions on what to do about extinguishing the lights?
