Ther are MANY! people who can re-build, re-new PS lines ! it is especially worthy as an option when the lines are long / and or expensive ( like on a Saab ) it is not that bad a job! you just have to R& R some parts! yes, a diy'er can do it! EG my wifes, honda needs a new PS line it is 160 $ + and I can get it rebuilt for 60-80 $ she had the PS lines replaced on her 99' 9-3 SE and it was over $ 600 at our local Saab god indie (I was out of town ) I could have had the lines re-built w/ swedged connectors, pressure tested for about 150 $ and done the labor myself ! As to whether it's worth it to fix/ repair/replace? that's a tough one! How much do you like it ? What would it cost to replace ? all you guys up in the rust belt, I don't understand why you don't Zeibert and keep them rust free I see many people just allow their cars to dissolve into iron oxides and it can be ToTALLY prevented . PS my dad put a dehumidifier in cars, weekly that kept the snow slush salt fr rotting fr the inside , all that crap we tracked in on our feet ! tho they have better floor mats nowdays ! ( weather tech ? )
