Door Window scissor-lift brace Posted by MontereyAero [Email] (#506) [Profile/Gallery] (more from MontereyAero) on Sun, 4 Feb 2018 17:48:33 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
My super-bowl Sunday was spent replacing green rollers on my wife's '01 Aero SW. I managed to slightly bend the forward scissor-lift brace outward (towards the door skin) about 1/2 inch. I've removed the window glass and am looking for suggestions on how to straighten the bent portion (back toward the car's interior) so that it fits correctly with the new green roller attached into the aluminum track on the bottom of the glass. The only thoughts I have are vice grip and brute strength? ?
Would mild heating with a butane torch help? I'm out of my league with this one.
