Out and about today in typical snowy conditions. Made a fairly hard stop, car reacts fine, then mad amount of random clicking (rapid) noises from center of front dash. Car takes off from stop and drives normally. Got to parking lot, turned off ignition. Tried to unlock doors with center console switch - no response. Unlocked manually, got out, shut doors. Tried to lock with fob, no response. Locked with key, went into store. Came back out, fob switch doesn’t work. Unlocked with key. Car will not start, no noise, no starter, no nothing when key is turned!!! Turning key to on activates lights, radio, HVAC system, all fine.
Tried to start with jump box, nada. Battery is like 2 months old.
Off on the flatbed for repair.
There are always the “usual suspects” when a 9-5 is dead: DIC, CPS, TPS , battery. But locking system inop? I did check the fuses, but none had blown. Relay failure? TWICE component failure preventing start?
Anyone have any theories?
