GM don't have to do squat.
With the Saab demise, we learned the hard way what that 10 year obligation of producing parts really meant.
Car manufacturers only need to produce a reasonable amount of parts that "should" last for 10 years. They can make that amount early in a cars life and hope for the best.
With a car brand still alive, it "might" be an interest from the car manufacturer to make batches later on for an older model but when a car brand is more or less dead and buried which was GM's plans from the beginning just like Saturn and Hummer, and that the car brand was one of the smallest in the world for a long time, I don't think the interest is very high.
The 9-5 I think is more vulnerable than the 9-3 since fewer and fewer of them were sold the last years in life because people were waiting for the new NG9-5.
