I just used one , and was the best looking oil filter I ever used . Blue metallic finish , it was beautiful . The filter went through about 5,000 miles in the hot summer with 1/2 city 1/2 harsh mountain driving with a lot of heavy smoke from the wildfires out here on the West Coast . Oil was Liqui Moly 5W-40 . I still have the filter and the oil in the haz mat drum , perhaps I will do an autopsy on it . It came in a fancy plastic package on the Wally mart clearance for around $4 bucks .
For the last few years I have been using the FL-400S Motorcraft or the Purolator or NAPA . I hate telling the parts person to look up a turbo Pt Cruiser , but that is the cross reference for the " tall filter "
I always use a Sharpie marker to write the service mileage , date , and oil type . The dark blue Bosch filter was a tough background color verses the cheap white of my usual cheap filters !
My car is a 2000 SE v6 wagon with 290,000 miles , still flying on the runway @80 MPH landspeed , no oil loss between changes .
