I've been dealing with a poorly performing system for some time, and tried a leak test with dye again, this time with success! After opening up the cabin filter box and not seeing any sign of leak there, I started tracing the entire route of hoses and sure enough there's a leak in one of the hoses under the radiator between the compressor and the condenser. I can actually see a little burble of dye where the crimped metal meets the rubber nearest the condenser.

Anyone do this yourself? I'd take it to an AC shop for a vacuum and refill but it looks like straightforward work to replace the hose.
