9-5's Insurance values do not reflect many owners' perceived Posted by saabniner [Email] (#617) [Profile/Gallery] (more from saabniner) on Sat, 6 Jul 2019 06:31:05 In Reply to: Re: Just look at the prices of new comparable cars, steve, Fri, 5 Jul 2019 07:23:51 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
values, IMHO. Insurance companies do not have the emotional connection that many of us Saab owners share, to them it is strictly business; I am not an advocate for insurance companies but they are in the profit business. Having owned models from a 99 to 900's to 9000's to my current Saab stable (OG 9-5 - 2008 AeroSC+ 2006 9-3 Arc vert)), I have to say the 9-5 has been the most reliable, most comfortable of the bunch. My all-time favorite was my '97 9000 Aero MT (styling/performance/fun factor), not to mention those wonderful Recaro's. Since my first purchase, a new 1975 99LE MT, I was hooked and virtually all my succeeding Saabs were acquired for non-monetary reasons. If I was in the market, I would not hesitate to go for a 2006-2009 9-5, low milage, with service records and good seat covers (this is just a pet peeve, to me good seats usually means the owner cares). Good luck.
