Just some thoughts -
Reason for complete engine rebuild on Car 1 ?
Roughness in D with foot on brake seems to be VERY common (both 2006 9-5's I maintain both have some). I'm sure they weren't like this when new, but this is a topic on this and other SAAB forums.
My big concern about Car 1 would be that oil light - and whether it relates to the rebuild.
Car 2 with no history . . . .
Of the two 9-5's I work on, the one without the history had some surprises: rear motor mount was actually split, transmission was overfilled (I forgot to check before purchase - my error), flex pipe broke soon after purchase (probably because of motor mount), and many more small things that should have been fixed as they happened. I dropped the oil pan - no sludge, thank goodness.
I would go with the car that has history, as long as the oil pressure was really tested and sensor error was confirmed.
Good Luck on your choice !
