are you positive its tranny fluid, and not oil (rear seal)?
the rear seal would definitely require removal of the tranny, etc. .to replace.. and it usually makes sense to do that when rebuilding/repairing the tranny ...so maybe it makes sense to wait it out. if you plan on keeping the car and rebuilding the tranny when the time comes...
if its tranny fluid.. I'm not sure if the same effort is required for a tranny seal... it may be more accessible than the rear engine seal.. Other than the pan itself.. i'm not sure if tightening up any bolts would do you much good..
there are some products that help replenish/swell up the seal.. as the harden with age.. so if it's just seeping or barely dripping.. it may be worth a shot.. Blue Devil makes a rear seal and tranny product that seem to work for some.. though i'm not sure how long the fix would last... AutoRX is another. you may want to go over to the BITOG forums and read up on some of those....
