What kind of repairs did it need? With respect to the manual, I have a 2005 ARC with manual. I enjoy driving it but Saab lamed it out in first and second to prevent wheel spin and keep emissions under control. It's also a tad challenging to smoothly let the clutch out on takeoff - something that I am highly experienced with but a bear for the son or wife. The manual in 2005 ARC has above average reliability and is fuel efficient and shifts well although it's long throw and a bit sloppy. I understand or at least speculate the aero trannys have a better feel and superior programming.
