Hello,
Also a sign of a neutral safety switch. It located on top of the automatic transmission under the battery. I have seen it fail often on short trips when it first begins to happen. For a test you cam attach a jumper wire to bypass the switch. I cannot remember the pins todo it off the top of my head but you could look it up on the online WIS. If you unplug the connector to jump the wires it will start but set off gearbox malfunction light. If you just find a way to jumper them with it still plugged in you get no gearbox malfunction light. Sometimes you can try to put it in neutral instead of park and get it to start.
A crank sensor failure often happens without setting a dtc. But remember a failed crank sensor allows the engine to crank it's just signal back to the ecm to produce spark, injector pulses or powering up the fuel pump.
Good Luck, Bernie
