Well I can only give my sometimes flawed opinion but when my check valve in front of the T/B went, it ran very roughly and I had to stop. Much to my surprise, I figured out the problem before my wife could say "what's taking so long" and taped it back together temporarily and limped home. If that's correct, you probably don't have to worry about TB's from now on so remove it off your predictive maintenance listing.
Yes, the CV may have cracked apart.
