If you really want to be sure, get one from the SE or anywhere in the west. The doglegs are a real problem, and as soon as you see rust on them it is usually more extensive than it looks. Further complicating this is finding an auto body shop to repair this sort of damage. There are still places that do it, but be prepared to get the "we don't work on rust" line. I just paid a little over $1000 to get this work done on an 04 wagon that was pristine in all other ways, so I broke my rule about only southern or western cars. I bought it in the Boston area with 130k. To get the $3000 car up to standard, cost another $3000, but is a pittance compared to something new.
