I tested with the the seat belt latched and unlatched on both drivers side and passenger side while monitoring with the tech 2 ... there was no change in either side.
also moved the seat forward and back all the way, both drivers side and passenger side. no change observed by the tech 2. Tech 2 reports:
Seat belt switch driver: BELTED
Seat belt switch Passen: BELTED
Seat Position Driver: FRONT
Seat position Passenger: REAR
and these values never change no matter what I do.
And with the car stationary the only code is "Drivers Seat Belt Sensor circuit, open circuit or short to ground/B+". The code returns immediately after clearing the codes.
I found that with the ABS system, other errors will not be uncovered until the current one is resolved. Perhaps its the same with ABS? perhaps if I resolve the Drivers seat belt issue, the passenger seat belt issue will appear?
