I’m not the expert with the ACC, but I have fixed a few things in the system. Before you look further, is the engine temperature normal and the outside temperature sensor giving you an expected temperature? While you were changing the stepper motor, did you notice if the air mixing drum seemed to be moving if you changed the set temperature? I also keep a couple of functioning control units on hand in case something weird happens so I can try a different control unit and see if that helps. They are pretty cheap used these days just make sure the display is all functional. You did not say whether you got the same air temperature from the passenger/rear ducts, but that could be a clue. Good luck and let’s hope someone with more expertise reads your post. One more thing, make sure the air filter isn’t all clogged, as that’s always a good place to start.
