'02 ARC Wgn Auto-trans warning light issue Posted by thewheell22 [Email] (#2450) [Profile/Gallery] (more from thewheell22) on Sat, 16 Jan 2021 13:44:51 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Hi All. 02 95 ARC 6cyl auto w/ 175K on the clock has the tranny warning light on. No gross performance changes except a little clunk moving into Drive. Hooked up my Tech-2 and no engine or tranny codes. Checking the TCM all good except a known back-up sensor circuit out.
BUT! I put the tranny in 'Park' and on Tech-2 I turned to 'Read Status and I got:
Gear Position switch ON
Gear Position PA
Gear Engaged Gear 1
And I'm Reading: Engine RPM 710-745 Gearbox input RPM 675-700
Are these correct? Gear 1 engaged in Park? And GB input RPM's less than Engine RPM's?
Fluid is fine and it moves thru the gears ok getting up to speed on the freeway. The Tech-2 doesn't read a tranny code so it doesn't reset the tranny warning light.
I am flummoxed! I ask for the sage SAAB wisdom gods of this group for your help! :)
