There was no ski pass-through on the pre-Dame Edna wagons, either. I have a 2000, and it doesn't have one. It's a shame, since my 2001 9-5 sedan does have one, and it comes in handy. I always have two child car seats in the back of the wagon, so it's always a pain to put down either half of the seat.
I remember thinking how hideously ugly the Dame Ednas were when they first came out, but they've definitely grown on me, and they're far better looking than a lot of other cars on the road now. I still like the 2004-2005 Aero the most of any of 9-5, though.
