Well actually I have the cable out on the v6, there is a bracket behind the starter and under the SAI valve that needs to come off, once off you can remove the bracket from the cable and slide the cable toward the battery (of course I had already removed the battery). The pain was getting that 60amp fuse box disconnected. Anyways once it was out I walked over and held it next to the battery cable on my 06 9-5 and the lengths matched up very closely with the rings for the alternator and starter. So I think I will pull the cable from a 2.3 at upull and install it in the v6.
By the way the reason I am doing this is I was not getting a charge at the battery from the alternator and so thought the alt was going and replaced it, but even after installing a new one it is still not charging so figure it has to be the cable.
I really do not want to splice/solder battery cable together I am sure I would do a crappy job.
Thanks for your replies
