This topic has come up on the board before. I remember Swedecar saying you can replace JUST THE O RING inside the red piece of the fitting. He suggested using a small pick with a hook so it comes out and does not go onto the manifold. Trying to remove the red insert may cause it to not seal properly. After 21 years, mine is still intact and I don’t ever want to mess with it (V6, not a I4).
The ring of outer teeth on the fitting fix it in place in the manifold /pipe and it probably can’t be removed without getting pieces in the manifold/ pipe unless you remove the manifold or pipe from the car. Suggest a message direct to Swedecar.
