This is a common issue on older cars, especially if they lived outside in sunlight. I have 16 feet of a seal that I bought on eBay that is of a “lower case H” cross section. I’m going to do the repair when it warms up more using silicon seal material to attach it to the cowl. It needs about 3/8 “ of the old black rubber portion to which to adhere well at the right angle to seal.. In some spots, I don’t have that much, but replacing the seal will help help tree seeds, leaves, and pine needles from getting under the cowl and clogging cabin air intakes.
Generally, I’ve found that glass shops haven’t a clue about this repair. The cowl and seal are a one piece design. Search “cowl” on Saabnet for others’ takes on the issue. That’s where I got the idea to look on eBay. Possibly you could find a used cowl in a pick and pull, but doubt it will be any better than what you’ve got and yours looks better than mine.
Good luck. Get back to me if you can’t find the stuff.
