I have been researching aftermarket stuff for the 9-5 Aero and asked Hirsch if they had a US distributer or dealer, (as I prefer not to deal direct with companies overseas in case of warranty issues.) They said no, for the moment. I encourage all Saab owners to express interest direct to Hirsch, since it would be a good thing to have an additional tuner located in the States. Tell then to put it in Seattle ;)

Here is the reply I received:

QUOTE:
John,
Appreciate your reply. That makes sense and is one reason why we probably
will enter the US market. When looking at a supplier I would like to recommend to be careful whom you are choosing, specially when it comes to the 2001 model of the 9-5.

First of all there is a lot of nonsense and hyperoptimistic figures in this
business. In addition I strongly doubt any Saab-Tuner worldwide besides us
is able to offer performance upgrades and at the same time keep the OBD-2-system active, meaning pressure and temperature remaining on a healthy
level as well as emmission-values.

Our step-1 version for the 9-5 Aero (MY 2001) delivers 260hp/390Nm torque
through a modified Trionic combined with our own intercooler. Step-2 provides 280hp/400Nm and additionally need a different exhaust (stainless steel), another air intake as well as a particularly for this car developed catalytic converter guaranteeing the increased airflow but still reaching LEV-regulations.

Kind regards
hirsch performance
