Slow to respond... That could be one of a few situations. During startup-warmup or while in operation. If the first, could be the heater is not working. You can check the heater in the sensor for an open circuit.

And as always, a O2 sensor CEL does not always mean that the sensor is bad, only that the signals that the ECU gets are a problem.

With 3 wire sensors, (I have no idea what you have) the sensor signal ground is through the exhaust down pipe, turbo, manfold gasket and fasteners, turbo support etc. If the contact from the sensor to the flange in the down pipe has gone resistive, then backing it out and reseating it can solve the problem. Back it out a bit to get some fine abrasive paper or cloth into the gap and brighten things up, then reseat. In this situation if a new sensor is installed, that fixes the resistance problem and your wallet at the same time.

So, you got a 3 wire sensor?

If so, measure the resistance of the sensor body to ground. If you find resistance, probe to see if its where the sensor seats, or the downpipe to turbo joint etc. Then deal with that. If the sensor body resistance to ground is low, then its not a ground path resistance problem.

Yes, there are sensors on the market that are the identical sensor, with different cable lengths and connectors. They can be much less expansive. These are spliced into the wires of the old sensor.
