Howdy.

Well, it was a struggle...but I managed to replace my turn signal lever with the new style one that requires that you cut the old harness and eliminate the cruise control relay. I had a bunch of trouble locating the relay and eventually ended up removing both the driver's seat (never had done that before -- pretty easy) and removing the knee bolster (major leaque pain in the rear -- had to take out the center console, ashtray, and locate that bolt in the engine compartment that lets the side of the bolster down). Once I dropped the knee bolster, things started going a bit better. I was quite pleased that after getting things back together all of the stuff I messed with still worked! It was certainly an experience and of course should I ever have to do it again, it'd go a bunch quicker than it did this time.

I'm not a car novice by any stretch, I'm quite familiar with many cars, but not repair stuff. More the specs or radio replacement stuff, so I'm trying to learn what I can to avoid paying others to do everything. Anyway, I was pleased that the turn signal repair was done, so I pulled my headlight switch to try to figure out why sometimes the light inside it works and sometimes (most of the time) it doesn't. After some time fiddling with it, it appears to be working properly again. I'll have to see whether the bulb gets jarred loss after driving.

Anyway, a productive weekend (especially since I had to spend most of yesterday at a seminar!).
