Ok, I was planning on a few mods, gutting the cat, tweaking the APC, and a 3.0 bar FPR from a 900s. However, I am getting a little gun-shy after hearing about problems with the 5spd trans. My car is an '85 900T 16V so I know I have the weaker small pinion bearing. My trans doesn't make any funny noises or pop out of gear at 118K and I just replaced the clutch assembly sunday. The old clutch was original F&S and the center splined part separated from the disc. Wasn't much meat left either. I am worried about blowing up the trans, cause if that happens I am FUC*ED. I don't have two grand to dump into a new trans. I will have NO CAR! This would be very bad. What kind of abuse can a stock tranny take? Does anybody make a better one? I know you can get a VW trans that will hold up to a supercharged 426 Hemi. Anybody make a super SAAB trans for me to save up for?

As far as the APC tweaks, I was planning on tweaking a spare box I picked up and switching boxes and regulators when I want to show off a little. Usually I don't use the turbo very much at all in normal driving. It maybe gets a little boosting here and there, but I'm a pretty sedate driver most of the time. Advice please.

PS, one of my friends has a '99 mustang GT 4.6l SOHC V8 automatic that I really want to spank with my 2.0l 4cyl. Shouldn't be hard, those cars are pigs.
