I have the 85 900 turbo 16v flavor. I was having almost violent lurching when I would realy step on the gas. It wasn't entirely consistent but odds were against a smooth excelleration. I thought it was about time to rebuild the turbo anyway so I did. I also cleaned the apc solinoid valve, got a sports (K&N) filter, and replaced some of the vac. lines. ever since then I haven't gotten full boost. There is a noise coming from a valve attached to the cluster of things like the turn signal solinoid. I traced all the vac. lines in the cab of the car to see if I was having any leaks, and that's when I found out that this little valve thing was making the noise I thought was an air leak. I tried bypassing it but it didn't help boost any.

When I was testing my solinoid valve someone said to plug the line coming from the intake. That didn't seem to have any effect does that mean that the solinoid valve is bad?

Right now I get quarter to mid yellow boost if I'm lucky. The valve makes a sucking noise until I step on the gas, then it is quiet for a second then starts to get louder as the turbo starts to spool up.

Please help I'm a little confused on what to do.
